Legend Of The Seas to be the new Icon
Legend of the Seas will be the name of the 3rd Icon Class ship from Royal Caribbean. According to sources close to the Meyer Turku shipyard, the name of the third Icon Class ship will be Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean has not yet confirmed the rumors.
Debuting in 2026, the name had been registered by Royal at the end of 2022, along with several other names for other ships, among the registered names, Star and Utopia of the Seas are already being used.
The name Legend of the Seas is not new in the history of Royal Caribbean, it first appeared in 1995 on the MS Legend of the Seas which was built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard and was the first ship in the Vision Class, the ship left the fleet in 2016 when it was sold to Marella Cruises.
