101cruise review from Gary

From Gary…

Thanks for organising an amazing trip that felt like stepping back into history.

Our Scenic cruise on the Rhine from Basel to Amsterdam was a stunning blend of landscapes, medieval castles, charming villages and rolling vineyards.

Colmar with it’s quaint canals and half-timbered houses was like stepping into a fairy tale dating back a thousand years. The Strasbourg Canal cruise was worth every minute as we saw the Imperial Court, Le Petite France and the European Parliament

The Historical tour of Heidelberg was where we saw the world’s largest wine barrel in the castle’s cellar! In Rudesheim we were introduced to the weird and wonderful mechanical instruments. It was fascinating.

We did wine tasting along the Moselle in Bernkastel at one of the most renowned wineries in the region. Dusseldorf has the world’s longest bar and with around 260 pubs. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands and we saw the Het Loo Palace which dates back to 1685 and served as the Royal family’s summer home for centuries.

In Belgium we experienced the medieval centres of Antwerp and Bruges. Both are must do’s.

Finally it was Day 15 and we finished our cruise in Amsterdam where we did yet another canal cruise. The night cruise is definitely a must do!

Scenic looked after us every step of the way.

The food and wine were fabulous. The crew made sure we enjoyed everything and the tour guides made sure we saw the best on the Rhine.

Paul, thanks again for making all this happen so smoothly.
