It took Paul about 5 years to get me on my first cruise. I keep saying “they’re just for old people”. I laid down 3 criteria for him to satisfy before I’d get on a ship.

#1 I didn't want to have to sit at a table of strangers and have dinner each night;

#2 I didn’t want to be presented with a bill for all the drinks at the end of the cruise;

All you need to know about Celebrity Cruises cabins and suites

Celebrity's selection of basic cabins is fairly standard. However, when it comes to suites, passengers have a decent number of choices, and even the smallest and least expensive options offer coveted amenities and access to dedicated spaces.

Celebrity is one of the best big-ship cruise brands when it comes to everything from service and extras to in-cabin storage space, decor and even furniture layout. Overall, the line offers an upscale ambiance with a lot of value for your money, starting with inside cabins and running right up through accommodations at the suite level.

The Edge Class ships are just the latest vessels at the line to break ground when it comes to innovation.

The line's somewhat older Solstice Class ships also offer a number of features that were groundbreaking in their time and — in many cases — remain rare and alluring more than a decade after they first debuted.
